First up is the 1st Quarter...CDTShareTweetShareShareChicago Bears 2019 Season Predictions: 1st quarterPhoto by Jonathan Daniel/Getty ImagesWith the NFL revealing their 2019 schedule last week, we had to get in on the much-too-early Chicago Bears predictions, but we wanted to break the schedule down into four easy to digest portions of prognostications. Former Bears head coach, Lovie Smith, used to like to break the schedule into four quarters — much like a football game — so we’re going to do the same thing here at WCG. And we’re also going to do it roundtable style to get more of our Bears experts involved in the process. After checking out what we have to say, we want you guys to follow our format and give us your predictions in the comment section. Here’s how the Bears first quarter of the season will go. 1st QuarterWeek 1: vs. Green Bay Packers, Thursday, Sept. 5, 7:20 p.m., NBCWeek 2: at Denver Broncos, Sunday, Sept. 15, 3:25 p.m., FOXWeek 3: at Washington Redskins, Monday, Sept. 23, 7:15 p.m., ESPNWeek 4: vs. Minnesota Vikings, Sunday, Sept. 30, 3:25 p.m., CBS(All times Central)Lester A. Wiltfong Jr. - (4-0) We’ll learn about the 2019 Bears right away with tough match-ups against the rival Packers and a high altitude game in Denver, but I think the extra time to prep for the Broncos will give them the edge they need to buck history. Prime Time in Washington will be tough, but the Bears are the better team. The Vikings couldn’t beat the Bears when their playoff lives were on the line last year Womens Tom Waddle Jersey , so why would I think Kirk Cousins can do it in 2019. Erik Christopher Duerrwaechter - (4-0) Where the back-to-back road games may cause some discomfort, I don’t see any of these games being a real test early on. The Vic Fangio Revenge Game has a chance of being close. And, really, I’m ready to see the Bears annihilate the Packers in the season debut at home. Just gotta get my ticket to the game.Sam Householder - (3-1) The Bears can get off to a hot start with five winnable games but I’m not sure they can get through unblemished. The Broncos are an insane 21-1 at home in weeks one and two at home in their current stadium and 51-8-2 all-time. On the other side is Washington, who are 5-22 on Monday Night Football since 2000, including seven straight Monday night losses and a 2-15 record on MNF since 2008. The Vikings are likely to rebound from a down year last year, but by playing at home that game is still winnable for them. I have them dropping the week two match up against Vic Fangio (remember when Adam Gase knew how to attack Fangio’s D? I think Fangio will know how to slow Nagy’s offense).Ken Mitchell - (4-0) Green Bay will be struggling in getting both their offensive and defensive games lined out, and Chuck Pagano’s much more aggressive defense will eat “those people from Wisconsin” alive. I think Week 2 may be the hardest game of the season, because former coordinators know exactly how to attack their old teams and Fangio will make this one tough... still, Bears win. Washington’s a decent team but we should beat them, and color me somebody who has been unimpressed by Minnesota’s offseason.Aaron Leming - (3-1) As much as I want to give the Bears (4-0) through this stretch, Denver’s history at home through the first two games of the season is hard to deny. Add in the altitude aspect and I’m going to give them a loss there, just to play it “safe” There’s one or two of those games on the schedule where it feels like a loss and I can’t ignore that like I did last year with Miami.Robert Schmitz - (4-0) For as much hype as the matchup in Denver is getting, I don’t believe in Joe Flacco enough to predict a loss in this quarter. The season opener against Green Bay is as close to a lock as I can ask for (predominantly due to last year’s horror) and it’s Thursday night slot gives us a ridiculous amount of rest for the matchup against our former defensive coordinator. I don’t believe in either (Washington QB) Case Keenum or Cousins to compete with us, so those look like wins to me. Some wins may not be pretty (Week 2 and 3 come to mind) but I think the Bears are perfect to open the season. LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Clinch the NFC North championship and beat a heated rival to do it? The Chicago Bears couldn’t have asked for a sweeter scenario. That’s exactly the opportunity they’re staring at when they host Aaron Rodgers and the fading Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon.“It would be very exciting,” quarterback Mitchell Trubisky said. “We know this is a big week for us, and a lot comes with it.”More Packers coverage from FOX Sports WisconsinBucks’ Wes Matthews loves Wisconsin, is a Vikings fanPreview: Packers look to slow Vikings’ revitalized run gameTop Tweets: Yelich thanks fans for support after season-ending injuryAmos sparks rebuilt Packers defense in debutPackers to be tested again by familiar foe in Zimmer, VikingsWith six wins in the past seven games, the division championship and a playoff spot are just about in hand.A win over the Packers (5-7-1) would clinch the North for the Bears (9-4). So would a loss by Minnesota to Miami. And ties by both the Bears and the Vikings would do the trick, too.Even if they don’t clinch the division, they could still secure a playoff spot on Sunday. In that case, a tie against Green Bay — or a tie or loss by Washington against Jacksonville — would send Chicago to the playoffs for the first time since the 2010 team won the NFC North.Of course Sam Acho Jersey , with a victory comes this added bonus: beating Green Bay. It would also give the Bears a measure of revenge for that season-opening gut punch at Lambeau Field, when Rodgers got carted off the field with a left knee injury and came back to lead the Packers from 20 down to a 24-23 victory.“It’s a special moment in my career,” Rodgers said. “It is the Bears, and the injury I was dealing with and the pain and 20-0 and coming back and winning that game. It seems a long time ago, standing here in Week 15, but that was a good moment for us. It’s a better moment when you parlay those into big-time winning seasons and championship runs, but it was a special moment for sure.”The teams’ fortunes sure have changed since. The Bears have emerged as a force in the NFC in their first season under coach Matt Nagy after four straight last-place finishes. The Packers fired Mike McCarthy in his 13th season two weeks ago and made offensive coordinator Joe Philbin the interim head coach, hoping to jolt a team in danger of missing the playoffs for the second straight year. The Packers won his debut , beating the Atlanta Falcons 34-20. The Bears beat the NFC West champion Los Angeles Rams 15-6 last week, with their defense squashing one of the NFL’s most prolific offenses. Here are some things to know with Chicago on the verge of securing a playoff spot and Green Bay’s hopes fading:STREAK VS. STRENGTHIt’s a case of a streak vs. strength when Rodgers faces Chicago’s turnover-happy defense. The Bears are first in the NFL in turnover margin at plus-13. Rodgers hasn’t thrown a pick since Week 4, when his pass over the middle for Jimmy Graham was deflected twice before being intercepted by Bills safety Jordan Poyer on second-and-4 from the Packers 49. It’s the only interception this season for Rodgers. Since then he’s had 368 straight attempts without an interception to set an NFL record.“Yeah, you know hopefully it stays that way,” Philbin said as he knocked on a wooden podium for good luck. The Packers are plus-2 in turnover margin, tied for 14th in the league.7<button class="view-gallery">View Gallery</button> Gallery:Upon Further Review: Packers vs. FalconsBenny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports | Benny SieuROAD WOESWith an 0-6 road record and eight straight losses dating to last season, the Packers sure have experienced difficulties away from Lambeau Field. That’s something they hope to change against Chicago. The Packers have won nine of the past 10 meetings overall. They also have an eight-game winning streak at Soldier Field, counting the postseason.COMFORT AT HOMEWhile the Packers have struggled on the road, the Bears are 6-1 at Soldier Field. That gives them their highest win total at home since going 6-2 in 2008. And if they beat Green Bay, the Bears would finish 7-1 at home for the first time since 2005.Also, Nagy’s nine victories are the most by a coach in his first season with the Bears since Paddy Driscoll led the 1956 team to a 9-2-1 mark.TURNOVER TIMESpeaking of turnovers, the Packers’ defense has been hit or miss when it comes to takeaways. Cornerback Bashaud Breeland accounted for both of Green Bay’s takeaways last week with an interception return for a touchdown and fumble recovery, though the latter came on a botched shotgun snap. Still, the win over the Falcons ended a two-week stretch without a takeaway.OFFENSIVE OUTPUTThe Bears would certainly welcome a better showing from Trubisky. He struggled against Los Angeles after missing back-to-back games because of a right shoulder injury, with a season-high three interceptions and a 33.3 rating that was his lowest of the year. One positive for the Bears’ offense: Jordan Howard running for a season-high 101 yards.12<button class="view-gallery">View Gallery</button> Gallery:PHOTOS: Packers vs. FalconsJeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports | Jeff Hanisch—GREEN BAY (5-7-1) at CHICAGO (9-4)Sunday, 1 p.m. ET http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-devin-hester-jersey , FoxOPENING LINE — Bears by 6RECORD VS. But quarterback Philip Rivers is 0-7 against Tom Brady http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-kyle-emanuel-jersey , whose team is 8-0 at home this season. So, basically, something’s gotta give.Yes, Rivers has never beaten Brady. The veteran San Diego/L.A. signal-caller has beaten the Patriots only once in his career, a 30-10 win during 2008, when Brady was out with a torn ACL. Every other time the two teams have played since Rivers became the starter in 2006, the Patriots have won. That fact was news to Chargers coach Anthony Lynn.“I was not aware of that,” Lynn told New England reporters when asked on Wednesday to react to Rivers’ run of futility vs. Brady. “But that’s in the past. That’s what I think about. It’s in the past. We have an opportunity to do it on Sunday so let’s make the most out of it.”Rivers shrugged at the reality that he’s never gotten the better of Brady.“It’s not something you think about a whole lot,” Rivers told New England reporters. “It exists and it’s there but again Womens Forrest Lamp Jersey , and I mean this, I don’t feel that I’m playing Tom. Certainly it’s a Tom Brady-led team and we know how things work with the quarterback and the head coach that have the record attached to it. We’ve got a heck of a challenge, our offense, going against that defense and how disciplined they play and how well they play especially this time of year. We’ve got our work cut out on that side of the ball. Yeah, I think you’re aware of that stat that is out there but it’s not something that I spend much time thinking about.”Two of the losses came in playoffs games, in consecutive years. In 2007, the Patriots got their last win of an 18-1 season by beating the Chargers to get to the Super Bowl. The prior year, the Chargers seemed destined to get to the Super Bowl, with a 14-2 record.Leading by eight in the fourth quarter Mike Williams Jersey , Chargers defensive back Marlon McCree intercepted Brady to seemingly clinch a victory. And then McCree fumbled the ball, the Patriots recovered, they tied the game, and they won it with a late field goal. This could be the best Chargers team since the 14-2 season, but New England is never easy to beat at home. In what will be one of their last meetings, Rivers’ chances of getting to his first Super Bowl now hinge on getting his first career win over arguably the greatest quarterback of all time, at a time when Father Time could be poised to make a strong kick to the finish line. The Chargers finished with the same regular season record as the Chiefs in 2018, but they wound up in second place in the division due to a tiebreaker. They’d like to see their spot in the pecking order change this season and getting two wins over the Chiefs would be a good way to improve the chances of that happening. The first of those games won’t come until Week 11 of the 2019 season, but it seems it’s never too early to start laying the verbal groundwork for the game.Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen spoke to reporters from the team’s offseason workouts on Monday and was asked about the offseason moves that the Chiefs have made to their defense. His review fell short of a rave.“Since you asked http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-darius-philon-jersey , we brought it up today in the locker room,” Allen said, via the . “We just looked at their DB group, and I’ll just leave it at that. We’ve seen it.”The Chiefs signed safety Tyrann Mathieu and cornerback Bashaud Breeland as free agents before drafting safety Juan Thornhill and cornerback Rashad Fenton over the weekend. They’ve made big changes up front as well with Frank Clark, Emmanuel Ogbah and Alex Okafor giving them an entirely new look on the edges of the defense. How all of those new faces come together will be one of the biggest factors in how things play out in the AFC West this season and Allen seems confident that the new look won’t stop his offense.

NASHVILLE Wendell Smallwood Jersey , Tenn. (AP) — Bert Bell had been burned and sought a way to get even. His creation, the NFL draft, has become an industry unto itself and the league’s third-most popular annual event behind the Super Bowl and opening weekend.Bell owned the Philadelphia Eagles in 1933 and was hot to sign Stanley “King Kong” Kostka of the Minnesota Gophers. All collegians were free agents back then — college football was far more popular than the pros — and Bell saw the bruising fullback/linebacker as a building block for his team. But Kostka signed with the Brooklyn Dodgers; yes, that was a football franchise back then. Never mind that Kostka lasted one season in the NFL. Bell had a calling.“I made up my mind that this league would never survive unless we had some system whereby each team had an even chance to bid for talent against each other,” he later told The Associated Press. With some negotiating and arm-twisting — Bell was so good at that he soon would become NFL commissioner — he persuaded owners of the other eight clubs to try a draft. The team with the league’s worst record would pick first and the rest would go in reverse order of their success in the standings. On Feb 8-9, 1936, in a Philadelphia hotel owned by the Bell family, the draft was born. And guess who had the first selection: the 2-9 Eagles. That they took halfback Jay Berwanger, the first Heisman Trophy winner, who played at Chicago University — yes, that was a college team back then — and couldn’t sign him was somewhat embarrassing; Berwanger chose to go into the “real world” where he could earn more money than the Eagles were offering.Regardless, the draft was established, with nine rounds, increased to 10 the next year and to 20 in 1939, with this oddity in 1938 and ’39: only the five teams with the worst winning percentage in the previous season made selections in the second and fourth rounds. The number of rounds fluctuated through the years, in part because of competition from the All-America Football Conference in the 1940s http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-chris-maragos-jersey , but also because college football grew and more players were available. For a span of a dozen drafts, there even was a bonus pick to start proceedings, with one team each year getting until every team had gotten one. When the AFL began in 1960 and soon started pirating NFL players and hiding college seniors, the NFL moved its draft up from the spring. Cloak-and-dagger stories developed, as soon-to-be Pro Football Hall of Famer Gil Brandt told Ken Rappoport and me for the book “On The Clock, The Story of the NFL Draft.”“Our battle for players with the AFL featured the so-called baby sitters who would hide players so the other league couldn’t find them,” said Brandt, who scouted the colleges for the Dallas Cowboys for three decades, drafting the likes of Roger Staubach, Bob Lilly and Tony Dorsett, and now is the lead draft consultant to the NFL. “There was a group of people, ex-coaches, ex-players, even the governor of Oregon, who were involved.”The merger led to a common draft, but the grab bag for talent wasn’t a big deal whether staged in Philly Womens Darren Sproles Jersey , New York, Washington, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Los Angeles or Chicago. Then television stepped up.This brand new TV entity called ESPN approached NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle in 1980 offering to broadcast the proceedings from the New York Sheraton. Rozelle couldn’t fathom why ESPN boss Chet Simmons made the offer.“Pete thought Chet was out of his mind,” said former ESPN vice president John Wildhack. “But Pete said, ‘Let’s try it.'”Desperate for programming, ESPN hired Bill Fitts, who had worked games on CBS and NBC, as producer of the draft show, which Fitts admitted in “On The Clock” was rudimentary.“I would say at the beginning it was like with our golf coverage — we started covering one hole,” Fitts said with a laugh. “Look what it went to.”It would not be an exaggeration to say the draft has exploded beyond the selection meeting tag the league hung on it. And don’t underestimate the credit TV deserves, first with ESPN’s gavel-to-gavel coverage and then with NFL Network joining in since 2006. Plus a move to prime time for Thursday’s first round in 2010, and to the early evening for Rounds two and three on Friday.Would Mel Kiper Jr., Todd McShay and Mike Mayock have become household names to draftniks? Would there even be draftniks? Would mock drafts begin appearing as soon as college underclassmen declared for the pros in January; in 1990, the NFL began allowing collegians whose class had been in school for three years to apply for the draft.Just as television has been a powerful force in the popularization of pro football Jay Ajayi Jersey , it has been irreplaceable in the universalizing of the draft. When the league moved the proceedings to Radio City Music Hall, where it held nine drafts, it also turned the fans loose in the art-deco landmark. That meant several thousand folks dressed in jerseys from all 32 teams howling and screaming — and often booing — the selections. That made for great TV, naturally. And it gave the draft an entertainment element it never had, with red carpets to follow. Those fans would follow the draft when the NFL turned it into a road show. In 2014, Radio City, owned by Madison Square Garden, had scheduled a spring spectacular for the usual draft dates in late April. The league had to move the draft back into May, only to see the Radio City show switched to 2015.Annoyed by the Garden’s machinations, and intrigued by the possibilities of moving around its biggest offseason event, the NFL abandoned the Big Apple for the Windy City. After two highly successful years in Chicago in which the league used iconic local settings and fan festivals to boost the draft’s profile and the size of the crowds, it headed to Philadelphia — the original site back in Bert Bell’s days. There, using the Philadelphia Museum of Art, with the “Rocky” statue and all, as a backdrop, the NFL saw an astounding 250 http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-jason-kelce-jersey ,000 attend over three days.“Philadelphia is raising the bar,” Commissioner Roger Goodell said.Last year, a stadium was the site for the first time, at Jerry’s Palace near Dallas. And now, we head to Music City, alongside the honky tonks on Broadway.Next year, Las Vegas. What would Bert Bell think? Culture!"Most of you know the Vinny Curry story by now. The Neptune, New Jersey native grew up rooting for the Eagles and had the fortune of being selected by them in second-round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Even better, Curry became a member of the Eagles’ first Super Bowl winning team in 2018. Now, after a one-year stop with the Buccaneers, Curry is back where he belongs. And he’s sure not hiding how excited he is to be back. On could really sense Curry’s genuine enthusiasm during his conference call with local media on Thursday afternoon.Curry’s mention about his teammates feeling like his brothers helps speak to the culture that the Eagles have fostered under Doug Pederson. So does the fact that Curry reportedly took less money to come back to Philly.Curry is more than just a good locker room guy; there’s reason to believe he can still help the Eagles win football games. But his off-field personality makes it even easier to be glad he’s back.

Key matchups http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-t.j.-yeldon-jersey , storylines, predictions, and more for Week 1 The Jacksonville Jaguars will be in a Duval state of mind despite making the trek to the Big Apple to take on the New York Giants this Sunday at 1:00pm EST. IMPORTANT UNIFORM WATCH: White tops and white trousers for the good guys.To see a full series breakdown between the two squads, click here.OpponentComing off of a 3-13 campaign, the New York Giants will be looking to flip the script on their 2017 record and make a strong push for a playoff spot in their division. Sound familiar? There are some new faces on the Giants roster this year, but none more important than new head coach Pat Shurmur. A cunning offensive-minded head coach who employs a less-is-more approach, Eli Manning and the Giants should benefit from Shurmur’s playbook that will feature rookie top five pick Saquon Barkley. A threat to take it to the house on any touch, Barkley will be the centerpiece of the Giants offensive strategy and will need to be extinguished immediately before hitting the open field. Two key playmakers on both sides of the ball have been hampered by injuries this week for the Giants. Tight end Evan Engram was removed from concussion protocol on Wednesday after taking a nasty helmet hit in the preseason and should be good to go for Sunday. On the defense, Olivier Vernon is dealing with a high ankle sprain that required him to be carted off from practice on August 26th, and when asked about it this week, Shurmur was coy with reporters, stating that Vernon is a “quick healer” despite not practicing all week. Even if Vernon does end up being active on Sunday, he will be extremely limited and not the same player, likely losing some snaps to rookie Lorenzo Carter.Looking at the Giants depth chart, they have weaknesses along the offensive line and free safety/nickel cornerback on defense. The Giants spent resources both financially in left tackle Nate Solder and through the draft in left guard Will Hernandez Womens Ronnie Harrison Jersey , but the entire right side looks like a sieve and the unit as a whole is still trying to develop some cohesion. This should be a game where Sacksonville feasts in the backfield, but as mentioned above, will need to be careful not sending extra pressure on the blitz and getting scorched by Barkley on the screen. On offense, Nate Hackett is going to have to rely on tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins and whichever receiver(s) line up in the slot to attack the middle of the field, where newly acquired inside linebacker Alec Ogletree has struggled in pass coverage. For more information on the Giants, check out Ryan O’Bleness’ crossover piece with Ed Valentine of Big Blue View. (It’s good.)StorylinesIt’s Week 1, so there is a sundry of storylines to focus on. Make no mistake about it, though — this game is all about one man.Tom Coughlin. The football czar will have his first opportunity to square off against the team that unceremoniously kicked him to the curb after bringing them two Lombardi trophies. This is the same team that ruined Eli Manning’s starting streak to give snaps to a rookie third rounder who isn’t even on the roster anymore. If you don’t think Coughlin hasn’t been scheming, prepping and divulging trade secrets about the franchise that parted from him like a bad Ben McAdoo haircut, you’re crazy. For months, it’s probably the first thing he’s thought about waking up and the last thing that entered his consciousness before resting his beautiful, brilliant head on the pillow at night. The NFL knew exactly what it was doing by scheduling this game for Week 1, and we are all extremely here for it.Key matchupsBatman vs. The JokerNot only the most anticipated match up of this game, but potentially the must-see TV battle of the elites in the entire NFL this week. Jalen Ramsey is a brand of astronomical proportions the likes of which this franchise has never seen, and a week one clash with his character foil on the offensive side is something football fans just aren’t worthy of. With that being said Will Richardson Jersey , people forget that the Joker has been locked up in Arkham with a serious ankle injury and hasn’t taken an NFL hit in close to a calendar year, so Ramsey should have the edge. If this game was played later in the season, it would truly be a treat.Calais Campbell vs. Ereck FlowersCane on Cane crime coming up this Sunday. Calais Campbell had a monster week one last year with four sacks against the Texans, but can the towering lineman eclipse that mark this week against the sluggish Flowers? Don’t bet on it. Shurmur is smart and will likely give Flowers some extra help on the right side with Rhett Ellison as an extra blocker to pick up the rush. With extra assets designated to that side, it will be up to Yannick Ngakoue to prove he’s as good as we all think he is and show that the Giants over-paid Solder.Cam Robinson vs. Lorenzo CarterBefore you get all excited about Olivier Vernon being out, pump the brakes. No doubt Vernon is the better overall pass rusher, but Carter is a twitchier freak athlete in the mold of Danielle Hunter. Remember how that matchup went in week two of the preseason for Cam? Carter is still raw and Jaguars fans shouldn’t be overly concerned about a rookie making his debut getting a handful of sacks, but Cam has shown he has struggled with speed and bend, which is what Carter’s game is comprised of. Ronnie Harrison vs. Evan EngramWith Evan Engram being cleared from concussion protocol, expect the Giants to feature him in the slot this week. To counter a dangerous move tight end like Engram, the Jaguars need to unleash the “brute back” in Ronnie Harrison to neutralize the size advantage that Engram has. I expect one big hit from Harrison early on to make sure Engram thinks twice about coming over the middle of the field so fresh off of a bone-jarring recent helmet to helmet hit.Final predictionI’m not as worried about a rusty Odell Beckham Jr. as I am about Saquon Barkley tearing the Jaguars up in the passing game. As mentioned above, look for the Giants to mitigate the Jaguars pass rush by quick dump off passes and screens. If one player misses an open field tackle on Barkley, it could spell trouble for the Jags.If the Jaguars are going to win this game, they need to be aggressive out of the gate and have the offense give them a lead quickly. The quicker that the Giants have to abandon Saquon Barkley and the running/screen game, the sooner the defensive line can pin their ears back and attack knowing it’s going to be a pass play against a porous offensive line. I say the Jaguars go play action early and take some deep shots without a true free safety to worry about; something they haven’t really shown this preseason. If they put early points on the board http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-logan-cooke-jersey , this game has a chance of becoming a route.Jaguars win 24-13. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Jacksonville left tackle Josh Walker is out against the Tennessee Titans, an injured foot and ankle sidelining him for the fourth straight game.Walker had been listed as questionable for Thursday night’s game for the Jaguars (4-8), who already have three starters on the offensive line on injured reserve this season. The Jaguars’ other inactives include wide receiver DJ Chark, running back Dave Williams, safety C.J. Reavis, cornerback Tre Herndon and safety Barry Church. Nose tackle Abry Jones already had been declared out with an injured shin. The Titans will have both kick returner Darius Jennings, who’s leading the NFL with a 34.8-yard average per return, and starting outside linebacker Derrick Morgan available after being questionable with injured knees. Tennessee’s inactives include defensive back Dane Cruikshank, running backs David Fluellen and Jeremy McNichols, linebacker Kamalei Correa, guard Aaron Stinnie, offensive tackle Tyler Marz and defensive end Matt Dickerson.

in which they held a 10-point lead in the second half. For the second-straight game Keenan Allen Jersey , they also failed to score a touchdown in the second half, with a field goal being the only points they have mustered after the halfway point in the last two weeks,It was another second-half implosion that should have fans reeling with PTSD-like symptoms stemming from the team’s horrendous 2016 campaign where they blew a historic amount of leads over and over again. That season, they finished 5-11. It was the final season for Mike McCoy and the year that finally caused the Chargers to move on from that lackluster coaching staff. Will this be another year that starts to warm the seat of the head coach? Will it cause Anthony Lynn to take a major look at his staff and maybe force his hand into some firings? I don’t know if we should get that far into our wallowing, but a close game to the Miami Dolphins next week, even if it’s a victory, will start to stir the pot sooner rather than later. This week was a struggle, but as always, here are the three players I believed “surged” forward with their play and three that stayed “static” or took a step back with their performance on Sunday.SurgeWR Keenan AllenAmassing a career-high in receiving yardage is an easy way to land yourself on the “Surge” list.Allen finds himself on the right side of this column for the third-straight week, making him the only player to do so through the first three weeks of the season. The savvy veteran hauled in 13 of 17 targets en route to 183 yards and two scores. That makes three receiving touchdowns in three games, bringing him to the halfway mark of his six total scores he had in both the 2017 and ‘18 seasons.Allen hasn’t scored more than six times in a season since his rookie season where he found paydirt eight times. If things continue as is, Allen could be primed for a career-year in all the receiving categories. Even when Hunter Henry returns from his knee injury, Allen will continue to be a target vacuum in this Chargers offense.K/P Ty LongOf course we have to show the kicker some love after bouncing back from two missed kicks last week. Long gained much of his lost confidence after knocking home a pair of field goals against the Texans, allowing the Chargers to stay alive for as long as possible before their second half point drought continued.Long made kicks of 34 and 43 yards, his 43-yarder being the only points that the Chargers could muster in the second half.Usual starter Michael Badgley was awfully close to suiting up this week prior to a last-minute inactive annoucement on Saturday so I expect him to take back his job this coming week barring any unforeseen setbacks.CB Desmond KingKing got the crowd fired-up from the very start of this one http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-ladainian-tomlinson-jersey , keeping his wits about him and recovering a Deshaun Watson fumble after the quarterback made an ill-advised decision to throw a screen pass into the dirt behind his body. King collected the ball and took it all the way down to the Houston 15-yard line before a offensive linemen caught him by the heel. The third-year defender was all over the field for the Chargers, collecting the aforementioned fumble, four total stops, a pass deflection, and a QB hit. It looked like Gus Bradley was attempting to use King in a variety of ways, hoping to take advantage of King’s knack for big plays in big moments.StaticS Roderic TeamerAfter not suiting up for the first two weeks due to injury, Teamer got the starting nod at strong safety following the loss of Adrian Phillips to a broken forearm. Teamer, along with outside linebacker Chris Peace, made the team after going undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft.Teamer got the start this week against a lot of backlash from fans who wished to see 2019 second-round pick Nasir Addelrey receive some more snaps in Phillips place. Lynn decided to stick with Teamer, who available all throughout training camp. This was the main reason given when asked about Adderley’s chances of stating. Lynn believes Adderley is still far behind after missing most of training camp before suiting up for just the preseason finale. The former Tulane Green Wave safety was a bright spot during the preseason exhibition games but wound-up looking not-so-bright when he took the field. On the Texans second scoring play, a intermediate shot to tight end Darren Fells, Teamer lost track of the massive tight end, leading to a wide-open score for the veteran.Overall, he simply didn’t look ready to start for this defense. The Chargers have other options. Knowledge of the playbook, be damned. Let your best players play Womens Jatavis Brown Jersey , and make plays. Teamer is not that, right now.WR Travis BenjaminBenjamin was once again on the wrong end of a potential big play for the Chargers on Sunday afternoon. With the Chargers down 27-20 towards the end of the fourth quarter, Rivers lofted a high-arcing pass to the speedster downfield. Although Benjamin was being double-covered, he had a step on the two defenders. Rivers’ pass landed right in between his hands but the short-armed Benjamin didn’t fully extend for the catch which caused the ball to squeeze through is digits incomplete. He finished with two catches for five yards. Obviously not what you expect from a player whose sole purpose as a member of this team is to beat the defense deep. The Pass RushIt’s widely known that Deshaun Watson has been the most-sacked quarterback in the NFL since the beginning of last year. After being brought down 10 times in the first two weeks, the Chargers only managed two sacks of the quarterback, one of which was by Brandon Mebane while Bosa and Ingram were off the field. The four that rushed? Mebane, Uchenna Nwosu, Isaac Rochell, and Justin Jones.Later on during a crucial third down, Bosa and Thomas Davis were able to get home and split a sack, but two is nowhere near enough for this defensive front. In fact, according to Aaron Reiss from The Athletic, Watson was pressure on just 13.9 percent of his dropbacks on Sunday. That was the lowest percentage OF HIS CAREER.HIS WHOLE DAMN CAREER.The Chargers literally gave him his most casual experience in the pocket as a professional quarterback, with two “elite” edge rushers. On a 1st-and-10 for the Texans with 22 seconds left on the clock in the first half, the announcers shouted “Watson is sacked!” and the quarterback proceeded to squirt out of multiple tackle attempts by Justin Jones and Jerry Tillery before tossing an incomplete pass. This was such a let-down by the defensive line and their inability to get after the quarterback on a consistent basis will also hamper the inexperienced players in the secondary that are being forced into action following the string of long-term injuries throughout the defense. Ten months ago Rayshawn Jenkins Jersey , the Colts were a laughingstock. They had been spurned by Josh McDaniels. They had misjudged the seriousness of Andrew Luck‘s shoulder injury. They were coming off a disastrous season and looked like they had far too many holes to fill on both sides of the ball to get back to the playoffs.Chris Ballard turned the franchise around, and that’s why he’s PFT’s choice as the NFL’s executive of the year.Ballard got all the big decisions right: He hired Frank Reich as head coach after the embarrassment of the failed McDaniels hiring. He trusted the slow but steady process for getting Luck back on track, and had Luck back on the field and ready to go for the start of the season. He traded down in the draft, picking up three extra second-round picks, and then drafted guard Quenton Nelson, who did outstanding work protecting Luck as a rookie. With his second-round pick, he drafted Darius Leonard, perhaps the best defensive rookie in the NFL this year. The Colts are in the playoffs when few thought they would be, and Ballard deserves enormous credit for that.A close second for the executive of the year award would be Chargers General Manager Tom Telesco, who has done an excellent job putting together a team that has stayed together when it easily could have fallen apart, playing in a tiny soccer stadium while functioning as the “other” team in Los Angeles. Telesco’s first-round picks — Derwin James in 2018, Mike Williams in 2017, Joey Bosa in 2016, Melvin Gordon in 2015 — are all playing big roles on this year’s playoff team. Some would argue for Bears General Manager Ryan Pace. He has certainly done good work, taking over a last-place team and building a first-place roster http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-justin-jones-jersey , but there are knocks against him as well. Mitchell Trubisky is developing into a fine quarterback, but Pace traded up to draft Trubisky when he could have stayed put or even moved down and drafted league MVP Patrick Mahomes. The Khalil Mack trade looks like a good move, but the bill hasn’t come due yet: Let’s see how Pace continues replenishing the roster while managing Mack’s big hit on the salary cap, and without the 2019 and 2020 first-round picks he traded away for Mack, before we declare that trade a slam-dunk success. And Pace has still failed to find a good kicker to replace Robbie Gould, whom Pace cut three years ago. None of those issues mean Pace isn’t a good G.M., but they are enough to rank him below Ballard and Telesco. There were people who mocked Ballard last year when he said, “The rivalry is back on,” referring to the Colts losing McDaniels to the Patriots, just as they’ve lost so many big game to the Patriots. Some would say it wasn’t much of a rivalry, as the Patriots so often came out on top. But Ballard has made the Colts legitimate rivals to the Patriots, and legitimate contenders to be the Patriots’ successors as the best team in the AFC.

Jenkins is well within his rights to skip voluntary workouts. But it’s not a total non-story when one of the team’s defensive captains and most vocal leaders — whom has never previously missed offseason workouts — decides to not show up with the rest of the team.Where are the Eagles deep, and not so deep Womens Chance Warmack Jersey , after the 2019 NFL Draft: Offense edition - PhillyVoiceCarson Wentz is a top-five quarterback talent in the NFL, but he’ll have to prove that he can stay healthy after being unable to finish each of the last two seasons with major injuries. The Eagles lost the best backup quarterback in the NFL this offseason, as Nick Foles headed south to be the Jacksonville Jaguars’ new starter. Taking his place will be Nate Sudfeld, who has been developing behind the scenes for two seasons, as he was the No. 3 quarterback in 2017 and 2018. In my view, Sudfeld is ready to come out of the oven, and be the No. 2. He displayed legitimate skills during training camp, and was impressive during the preseason. He even threw a TD pass against his old team during the regular season. Behind Sudfeld will be Clayton Thorson, the Eagles’ fifth-round pick in the 2019 draft. Thorson will develop behind the scenes in 2019, like Sudfeld has for the last two seasons. The Biggie Shuffle - Iggles BlitzI had kicked around the idea of Big V playing OG, but hadn’t really thought about it too much. With Brandon Brooks out right now, the Eagles need someone to fill his spot. Matt Pryor worked at RG last summer Nick Foles Jersey , but didn’t look great. Big V is an experienced player and would make some sense. He doesn’t have OG experience, but he’s got the skill set to succeed on the inside. He’s big and strong. He can get movement in the run game. Big V is a solid pass protector. He struggles at times on the edge, but I think he would be fine on the inside. This is pure speculation at this point. We’ll have to wait for a minicamp to see where guys are lining up.Can Eagles’ Andre Dillard excel as run blocker? ‘Ask the Expert’ with Duke Manyweather - NJ.com“I think he’ll be fine. I think he will be able to be coached up. One of the good things that he does do is he is able to cut off the backside and that’s a really important block in the NFL. You see him able to win the edge, whether it’s an angle-drive block or a reach type of block. That’s all encouraging. His hand placement in the run game is actually better than -- or more consistent I should say -- than his pass protection, so that’s encouraging as well. The beautiful thing about Dillard is he is a guy that needs just a little bit of development and refinement in terms of making the transition from what he was asked to do at Washington State to what he’ll be asked to do on Sunday. He’s in a great situation and a great spot for that.”Grading the Eagles’ offseason moves: Going with LB backup plan Zach Brown - The AthleticStat that I had to triple-check to make sure it was true: Brown has 372 tackles over the past three seasons. That’s second in the NFL to only Seahawks LB Bobby Wagner. Howie Roseman basically admitted that he would have liked to add a linebacker in the draft, but that didn’t happen. It’s good to have backup plans, and essentially, that’s what Brown ended up being. I checked in with The Athletic’s Mark Bullock, who breaks down Washington’s film on a weekly basis, about Brown’s skill set. He said he thought Brown was the team’s best inside linebacker last season. Bullock described Brown as rangy and athletic, and said he’s at his best when he can flow sideline to sideline unimpeded. In terms of coverage, Bullock said Brown has the athleticism to hold up in man but doesn’t always have the best instincts in zone. Overall http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-deandre-carter-jersey , this seems like a perfectly reasonable move. Brown has the skill set to be a starter for a year and adds to the team’s depth. One thing I like about the Eagles’ defense is it has the personnel to match up with different styles of offenses. With Brown in the mix, they can play more base if they’re facing a run-heavy team. And as we saw toward the end of last season, the Eagles can go dime against pass-heavy attacks.Set the Tempo | OTA Phase 2 Highlights - PE.comThe Eagles are setting the tempo in organized team activities.QB crush: How the Giants fell head over heels for Daniel Jones - ESPNSeeing Jones in person was an important box for Gettleman to check. Watching a quarterback live, he can see and hear them throw to determine arm strength, the way they interact with coaches and teammates, how they react between series and their body language -- things you can’t get from watching tape. Jones went 8-for-11 for 115 yards with a passing and rushing touchdown. He won the game’s MVP as well as Gettleman’s heart. ”I made up my mind that I was staying for the game and, frankly, [Jones] walked out there and I saw a professional quarterback after the three series that I watched, I saw a professional quarterback,” Gettleman said. “I was in full-bloom love.”How NFL rookies can make the roster, as explained by a former player - SB NationSo what are the keys to making the roster if you’re a late-round pick or UDFA? The simplest key is being a difference maker out there and giving all the effort you have. The latter goes without saying. To accomplish the former, you have to stand out and make the “wow” plays. Those are when coaches are watching film after practice Womens Nigel Bradham Jersey , they are all marveling at your ability on a certain play. That’s how you start getting noticed and coaches will want to see you do more on the first or second unit. The best way to do that is knowing your assignments. This brings me to the most important key to making the roster. Knowing your playbook. When you know what you’re doing, you play faster, and thus can make the “wow” plays. As a rookie, there’s going to be so much information thrown your way about the playbook. On offense, you might be huddling for the first time in years. It might be the first play call you’ve heard with three or more words in it. It’s a big shock to the system when your coaches install five runs, three protections, and 12 formations on the first day....Social Media Information:BGN Facebook Page: Click here to like our pageBGN Twitter: Follow @BleedingGreenBGN Manager: Brandon Lee Gowton: Follow @BrandonGowtonBGN Radio Twitter: Follow @BGN_Radio

There has been mentioned of a few teams looking to move up for specific players, such as the recent report the Atlanta Falcons are open to moving up for Houston defensive lineman Ed Oliver. However a recent comment for Jaguars.com editor John Oehser made that has me intrigued and made it sound like it’s almost expected for the Jaguars to slide down.“For the first time since I’ve been around Dave (Caldwell) at the pre-draft luncheon he talked about a team already having a lot of interest in the (Jaguars) pick. Wouldn’t say say who obviously and got very vague on it, but it was the most he talked about the idea of a trade back during that pre-draft luncheon,” Jaguars.com editor John Oehser said during a segment on Zone Blitz.Caldwell has always kind of done the minimal “Yeah we could trade down” dance at these luncheons, but it’s clear the way he was speaking stood out to Oehser as being different than past seasons.“For the first time since he’s been here I would favor a trade, meaning I think there’s a very good chance of a trade happening. In years past I didn’t think so,” Oesher added. “I would almost be surprised at this point if they aren’t able to trade out http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-logan-cooke-jersey , I think that’s what they want to do. I think they’ll be picking around 10 or 13 and getting the same quality of player as they would at No. 7.”As I mentioned previously I could see someone trading up for Oliver or maybe even Dwayne Haskins if the New York Giants pass on him at No. 6 overall, but after that I kind of struggle to see what would put a team in a position to think they’d need to leap frog the Detroit Lions or Buffalo Bills.I hope it happens, because as Oehser mentioned, the talent gap from what you get at No. 7 and the No. 13-ish range isn’t much, if at all. CINCINNATI BENGALS (6-10)OPEN CAMP: July 26, Cincinnati (first practice in Dayton, Ohio on July 27)LAST YEAR: Coach Marvin Lewis was fired after a 16th season without a playoff win, and 36-year-old Zac Taylor was hired in a notable shift for the franchise. The offense was one of the league's worst again, with Andy Dalton and A.J. Green suffering significant injuries. The defense was by some measures the worst in team history. The Bengals slipped behind intrastate rival Cleveland and finished last in the AFC North for the first time since 2010. In the offseason, the Bengals essentially kept intact a roster that's coming off three straight losing seasons Womens D.J. Hayden Jersey , though troublesome linebacker Vontaze Burfict was released.IMPORTANT ADDITIONS: Taylor, offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo, OT Jonah Williams, G John Miller, CB B.W. Webb, TE Drew Sample, LB Germaine Pratt, QB Ryan Finley, G Michael Jordan.IMPORTANT LOSSES: Lewis and both coordinators Cody Kessler Jersey , G Clint Boling, LB Vincent Rey, DE Michael Johnson, TE Tyler Kroft, OT Andre Smith, OT Cedric Ogbuehi, OT Jake Fisher, Burfict.CAMP NEEDS: The offense will be learning its third system in three years, and the defense is on its fourth coordinator in three years, so there's a lot of adjusting going on. The offensive line is the biggest issue at the outset http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-nick-foles-jersey , as it was the two previous years as well. The Bengals took Jonah Williams with the 11th overall pick and expected him to start at left tackle, but a shoulder injury during offseason workouts required surgery and could sideline him the entire season. Boling, the left guard, retired because of a blood clot one week before the start of camp, leaving the line in a familiar state of flux.EXPECTATIONS: Taylor has never been a head coach. He's growing into an unfamiliar role while also planning to call plays during games, something he did with the Dolphins for five games in 2015. The coordinators haven't served a full season in their roles, either. The Bengals had to wait until after the Super Bowl to hire Taylor from the Rams, leaving them to assemble a coaching staff on the fly. Given all the newness and change, the Bengals will be a work in progress all season as they try to escape the basement. They haven't finished last in consecutive seasons since 2001-02.

that will pit former co-workers Matt Nagy and Doug Pederson against each other.Nagy and Pederson worked together on Andy Reid’s staffs in Philadelphia and Kansas City and Pederson was always a step ahead of Nagy. Pederson was a quality control coach when Nagy was an intern William Perry Jersey , a quarterbacks coach when Nagy moved up to quality control and then became the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator while Nagy worked with the quarterbacks.Pederson jumped to the Eagles head coaching job in 2016 and Nagy moved up to offensive coordinator before becoming the Bears’ head coach. Nagy pointed to Pederson’s success with the Eagles and said that he hopes to keep taking his lead from Pederson.“We keep following this path here,” Nagy said, via NBC Sports Philadelphia. “So I told him at the owners meetings this past offseason that he got that Super Bowl. I’m trying to follow his lead here. He probably doesn’t want to hear that right now. But I’m trying to stick on that path. I have a ton of respect for him. It’s crazy to think that eight years ago we were together, when we first got our start working together, putting in lots of hours.”Nagy outdid the older coach on one front. He made the playoffs in his first season while Pederson had to wait until his second year to advance to the postseason, but winning it all likely made the delay worth it. BOURBONNAIS http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-mike-ditka-jersey , Ill. (AP) — Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has priorities when it comes to preseason games. One thing Trubisky is hoping to see from the Bears’ offense when they open the preseason Thursday at home against the Carolina Panthers is the running game.“I’m really excited to watch David Montgomery to continue to run the ball live,” Trubisky said. The Bears traded running back Jordan Howard to Philadelphia in the offseason and drafted Montgomery in the third round to lead a revamped running game. They haven’t had much chance in practice to see Montgomery play to his strengths of breaking tackles and making tacklers miss, although he did break four tackles on one run last week. They’ll have the first real chance to see how he fits in coach Matt Nagy’s attack against the Panthers. The running game is just one of two questions about the offense the Bears hope to answer against Carolina, but every indication so far is that Montgomery can handle stepping into a versatile role as a runner, pass receiver and pass blocker.“Nothing is going to change from what we saw on tape at Iowa State,” Nagy said. “He has some of the best vision that I’ve seen in a long time. He feels where the defenders are before they show up.“Now Womens Richard Dent Jersey , the defenders in this league are a little bit bigger, they’re a little bit faster and they hit a little bit harder, and the one thing he did in his career was he protected that football. And that’s what he’s going to have to continue to focus on. I know that he’ll do that.”Montgomery has seemed at ease catching passes, but running pass routes in a complex offense requires time to master.“It’s definitely something new to me as far as coming from college and not running a lot of routes,” Montgomery said. “But I’m definitely capable of getting better and running better routes.”Bears running backs coach Charles London is seeing similar positive results in Montgomery’s blocking technique.“Pass pro is usually something in college that guys aren’t asked to do a lot,” London said. “He’s understanding how we want to attack guys and how the best way to pass protect is. So we’re happy with him there.”Montgomery hasn’t found Nagy’s thick playbook too complicated to handle.“It’s a great playbook for any guy who wants to come out here and work hard and try to run the ball and try to do what (Nagy) asks for Dan Hampton Jersey ,” Montgomery said. The Bears have one other key concern now besides their running game. The health of their top two tight ends is in question. First Adam Shaheen missed a series of practices because of back stiffness. After Shaheen returned, starter Trey Burton missed the last three practices following what Nagy labeled “sluggish” earlier practices.Burton had offseason sports hernia surgery and has started slowly before going to the sideline.“It’s not a setback,” Nagy said Monday. “It’s more of, for us, I’m trying to protect him a little bit. I need him and we need him 100% for Week 1.”Nagy said he has no timetable for Burton’s return, but it shouldn’t be surprising Burton is still not ready to go 100%.“He didn’t do a lot http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-brian-urlacher-jersey , with the surgery and everything for five months,” Nagy said. “It’s hard to come back and just be thrusted in and try to look like yourself.“We’re trying to slowly do it. We’ll pick it up. We’ll start getting him more reps as we go here. But I’m protecting him right now.”NOTESBears kickers followed a sterling effort in Saturday’s scrimmage at Soldier Field with one of their worst days in training camp. Eddy Pineiro missed three times and Elliott Fry missed twice. “They know they’ve got to be better,” Nagy said. “Today wasn’t their day. But, again, how do they respond the next time they’re out there?” … Rookie WR Riley Ridley continues missing practice with a hamstring injury suffered in the first practice of camp.

Latest NewsNewsChicago Bears Draft 2019With the 56th pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select Anthony MillerNew,3commentsBears’ fans, don’t forget about dynamic wide out Anthony Miller whom they moved up for in last year’s draft. CDTAfter we dropped the Khalil Mack look-back yesterday, you guys knew this one was coming right? A year ago, Chicago Bears’ general manager Ryan Pace did what he does Womens Leonard Floyd Jersey , aggressively go up and get his guy in the draft. Memphis wide receiver Anthony Miller was a favorite of most of us writers at WCG, and he was a popular player to discuss on our boards as well, so when Pace pulled the trigger, we were all pretty happy. As a reminder, here’s what the Bears sent to the New England Patriots to move up in last year’s draft. The Bears sent their 2019 second-round pick, plus their fourth-rounder from 2018 Eric Kush Jersey , for New England’s 51st overall pick in 2018 and the right to draft Miller. The Patriots picked Wisconsin cornerback Nick Nelson with that 4th (105th overall) a year ago, and Nelson started three of the ten games he played in. Miller led the Bears in touchdown catches as a rookie (7), and his 33 receptions for 423 yards both ranked fifth on the team. He did all that while playing through a shoulder injury that required offseason surgery. “Every time I tried to stiff arm, it would come out, or if I ran kind of crazy, it would come out http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-roquan-smith-jersey ,” Miller told the Chicago Tribune earlier this month. “Really I was playing games with like one arm, making it happen. This year I’ve got two, so watch out.”The Bears are expected to have him at full strength at some point this offseason as he readies himself for a breakthrough year. Broncos G.M. John Elway has plenty of experience hiring head coaches. Too much experience hiring coaches. So much experience hiring coaches that this could be his last experience hiring coaches.Elway has whittled his choices down to two: Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak and Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. The thinking is that Elway is leaning Munchak. However, Fangio could save the day.Per a league source, Fangio’s burning desire to finally become a head coach has made him willing to let Elway hand pick the coaching staff. Elway wants Gary Kubiak to run the offense. That’s more likely if it’s Fangio. It also makes it less likely that the offensive coordinator will be pilfered by another team, since Kubiak has retired from serving as a head coach Womens Eddie Goldman Jersey , for health reasons. However it plays out, the stakes have never been higher for Elway. Only three years after winning a Super Bowl, he has presided over the worst back-to-back seasons for the Broncos since 1971-72. Another sub-.500 season could be his last.

on the wrong foot and it never recovered. The Buccaneers traded up to pick Aguayo in the second round of the 2016 draft Doug Flutie Jersey , but he missed his first kick of the preseason. That planted seeds of doubt in many minds, including Aguayo’s. He told Mirin Fader of that he began doubting himself in a way he never did at Florida State and his confidence kept dwindling as he missed more kicks over the course of the season.Aguayo wound up being cut after his rookie season and he has not appeared in a regular season game since then, but says that he has recovered his confidence. He told Fader that he stopped defining himself solely as a kicker and made all nine kicks he tried for the Chargers in the preseason last year. That didn’t land him a job, remains hopeful that he’ll get another chance this year.“I know I can get back http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-trevor-williams-jersey ,” Aguayo said. “People are probably like: ‘Oh, he’s done. He can’t do it anymore.’ No. I did it at a high level in college. I never got a chance to show it again. I know I can. I’m hitting the ball well now. At the end of the day, it’s a matter of opportunity.”The kicking carousel will spin at one point or another this season, although Aguayo said he wonders if he’d be “bad publicity” will keep teams from going with a player who flamed out in such a notable way. Linebacker Thomas Davis is going to be wearing a new uniform for the first time since the Panthers drafted him in the first round of the 2005 draft.Davis signed with the Chargers last week and said on NFL Network that the end of his long run in Carolina was emotional. Davis said he’ll miss playing with Luke Kuechly more than anything else and that the two linebackers were almost in tears when Davis got the news that the Panthers would not pursue a new deal. The eyes are dry again and Davis is now thinking about what he can bring to the table in Los Angeles. Experience is at the top of the list and the soon-to-be 36-year-old said he welcomes the chance to play a mentor role.“When you look at this roster and the guys they have on this team and how well they play together Womens Desmond King Jersey , I just feel like I can come in and be an added piece, offer some veteran wisdom, veteran leadership and just really try to get these guys over the hump so I’m looking forward to being a part of this locker room,” Davis said.Among the nuggets of wisdom Davis hopes to pass out are ones about fighting through injury after three torn ACLs. He pointed to Denzel Perryman Brandon Mebane Jersey , who has missed 16 games over the last two years, as someone who might be able to benefit from that experience and the Chargers would certainly be happy if Davis can help keep Perryman on the field in the future.

in a new commercial that Philadelphia fans will enjoy Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ... Carson Wentz brings aggression that the Eagles’ offense has lacked with Nick Foles - BGNIf you’re concerned that the roster’s current make-up looks more like the 2016 season than 2018 in terms of pass catching depth http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-randall-cunningham-jersey , don’t be. Wentz still smokes Foles in aggression and downfield throwing in both areas despite being more conservative in his rookie year. Wentz is going to fit some fastballs into some tight windows, which will be a welcome change. The question is, will his receivers make the plays they need to make for him? Either way, it will be a breath of fresh air seeing a quarterback more willing to challenge defenses.Five Carson Wentz over/unders for Eagles’ Week 3 matchup vs. Colts - PhillyVoiceCarson Wentz passer rating: 101.9. Why the very specific number of 101.9? Well, it’s simple; that was Wentz’s passer rating from a year ago, when he threw for 33 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. Interestingly enough, however, he only would’ve hit the over in five of 13 games last year, and none of his first four. Sure, it took a healthy Wentz over a month to hit triple digits last year, but I’m still taking the over here. This guy’s really that good. And remember, even if he doesn’t hit the over here, it’s hardly cause for panic. Familiar Foe - Iggles BlitzThe Eagles haven’t played the Colts since 2014, but this game will have familiar faces. Frank Reich helped the Eagles develop Carson Wentz over the past two seasons and then helped the Eagles win the Super Bowl. Now he’s the head coach in Indy. Reich’s defensive coordinator is Matt Eberflus, who came to Indy from Dallas. Simply put, the Colts schemes will look more than a little familiar to Eagles players and coaches. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the Eagles schemes will be very familiar to the Colts coaches. That means this game is more likely to be won on execution than scheming. I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing for the Eagles, who have been sloppy over the past two weeks.Carson Wentz’s teammates see ‘greatness’ as QB’s debut nears - ESPNCornerback Sidney Jones was asked what he’s seen out of Wentz recently. “I’ve seen greatness, man,” he replied. Wentz ran the scout team in practice during the first two weeks of the regular season while awaiting medical clearance. It was a way to get work against the first-team defense while providing Jim Schwartz’s unit with optimal looks. Jones pointed to one play in particular that stuck out. It was in the red zone. Wentz ran a bootleg to the backside of the defense Ron Jaworski Jersey , evaded the rush and looked downfield, only to find that his receiver was double-covered. But he noticed one of the defensive backs had slipped off the receiver a hair, and he delivered a perfect back-shoulder throw for the touchdown.Lawlor: Colts-Eagles Game Preview - PE.comFrom the moment Carson Wentz tore his ACL last December, the big question has been when he would return. Wentz wanted to be back for the season opener, but that didn’t happen. The Eagles were thinking big picture and not arbitrary timelines. They wanted Wentz to be healthy for the whole year and the future. It took a lot of discipline on the part of the Eagles, as well as Wentz, but they did the right thing and made it a medical decision and not a football decision. All of that is in the past now as Wentz prepares to take the field on Sunday. The franchise quarterback has returned. It’s a good thing Wentz is back. The Eagles are 1-1 and have a beat-up offense. The passing game has been erratic through two weeks. Now they prepare to play a Colts team that easily could be 2-0 and has looked good this year. At this point, the Eagles don’t want Wentz. They need him.The Kapadia 10: Eagles-Colts thoughts, numbers and predictions - The AthleticOffensively, the Colts are a team that has to methodically move the ball down the field. Through two games, on average, Andrew Luck is getting the ball out of his hands in 2.46 seconds, the fifth-fastest time among quarterbacks. He’s connected on just one pass that’s traveled 20 or more yards past the line of scrimmage and has attempted just five of those downfield throws. Luck is completing 71.4 percent of his passes but averaging only 5.93 YPA, which ranks 28th. To be successful, the Colts have to string together long drives and consistently convert on third downs. Indianapolis is playing without left tackle Anthony Castonzo and tight end Jack Doyle. This seems like it’d be a good opportunity for Derek Barnett to get his first sack of the season.Carson Wentz’s comeback is complete and the headstrong Eagles QB is already on to his next challenge - InquirerWentz isn’t accustomed to failure and not getting what he wants. He won championships in all levels of football. He scored straight A’s in every year of schooling. His success has reinforced his self-confidence. When Wentz desires something, he isn’t afraid to voice it. Colts head coach and former Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich saw it up close for two years. ”He’s not only opinionated, but he’s very mature. You love this about him, but he has a stubbor—,” Reich said Wednesday during a conference call http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-malcolm-jenkins-jersey , before cutting himself off. “So he’s going to voice his opinion.” Reich was referencing Wentz’s offensive preferences, but his hardheadedness applied to the Eagles’ handling of his injury, as well. Pederson and the medical staff had to often remind him that they were looking out for his — and theirs — long-term interests. Almost all the great quarterbacks are headstrong. And Wentz backs up his bite. ”He’s a control freak,” Eagles center Jason Kelce said. “He wants to know everything. He wants to have his hand in everything. He wants to be involved in every aspect. It’s what makes him a special and unique player. It’s hard to do. So few quarterbacks do it because the amount of work he puts into it during the week.”Roob’s 10 observations: Something to watch with Wentz, recent domination at Linc, more - NBCSPThe Eagles’ defense needs to bounce back from that loss Sunday with a vintage Jim Schwartz performance, and I think they will. At the Linc? The Eagles have allowed just 48 points in their last six games and only 11.7 per game since the start of last year, lowest in the league. Andrew Luck looks healthy and efficient again and should thrive in Frank Reich’s system. T.Y. Hilton hasn’t hit a big one yet but might be the most underrated receiver in the NFL over the last six years. The Colts can come in here and win if the Eagles aren’t careful. The defense needs to really take command and pressure Luck, stuff the run, force a couple turnovers and take some pressure off an offense that has a new quarterback, a shaky lineup of receivers and a banged-up running back corps. I’d really like to see something like a 13 on the scoreboard under “Colts” by 4:30 p.m. Sunday.Injury Report: Week 3 - RotoworldThe Eagles get Carson Wentz (knee) back but will be without Jay Ajayi (back) and Darren Sproles (hamstring) Sunday. The team signed rookie Josh Adams, who rushed for 90 yards on 23 carries (3.91 YPA) in the preseason, from their practice squad and still have Wendell Smallwood on the roster, but this is ultimately Corey Clement’s job to lose. Clement (quad, questionable) handled five carries (including the team’s only red zone rushing attempt) and received four targets in the two quarters Ajayi missed Sunday. Clement is Roto Pat’s No. 17 RB in Week 3. It’s still worth noting coach Doug Pederson said he has “to make sure that we have the right combination of plays for [Clement]” even before he showed on Philly’s injury report. For Philadelphia Eagles fan from Harrisburg, cerebral palsy won’t get in the way of first game - PennLiveJames Dietsche knew his friend Tommy was a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan. When Dietsche drove by Tommy in Harrisburg shortly after the Eagles won Super Bowl LII -- the first in franchise history -- Tommy unleashed the classic “E-A-G-L-E-S” chant. Later, Tommy showed Dietsche the newest addition to his coffee mug collection: an Eagles Super Bowl mug. Right then, Dietsche had to ask Tommy something on his mind: Had Tommy, who lives alone in Harrisburg and has cerebral palsy Womens Jalen Mills Jersey , ever been to see his favorite NFL team play? The answer was no, and Tommy’s reasoning dismayed Dietsche even more. Tommy can get around his apartment just fine, but he needs a wheelchair to cover longer distances. In the type of crowd that would fill an NFL stadium, Tommy was worried he would get stuck.Terrell Owens’ beef with Donovan McNabb was must-see TV - SB NationTerrell Owens joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004. Terrell Owens left the Philadelphia Eagles in 2005. His beef with Donovan McNabb caused a rift in a team coming off of 4 straight NFC Championships, and 1 Super Bowl appearance. It was about money. This time, it’s on the road. When and where: Week 2 at the Mercedes-Benz Sphincter DomeLast season: 7-9. Offense: Scoring 10th, Yards 6th, DVOA 8th; Defense: Scoring 25th, Yards 28th, DVOA 31stNotable additions: Adrian Clayborn, OC Steve SarkisianNotable losses: Tevin Coleman, OC Dirk KoetterWhat are they good at? Passing the ball, and they could be even better in 2019. Julio Jones is of course a great starting point for a group of pass catchers, and 2018 1st rounder Calvin Ridley had a very good rookie season with 64 catches for 821 yards and 10 touchdowns. An improvement by him would make that a top tier duo in the league and make Mohamed Sanu a solid 3rd option. Changing offensive coordinators from Steve Sarkisian, who was never popular in Atlanta, to Dirk Koetter, who was Falcons OC from 2012-2014, should be an upgrade as well.Or they could take a step back Brandon Graham Jersey , at least to start the season. Gone is Tevin Coleman, the pass catching half of the Falcons dynamic running back duo alongside Devonte Freeman. Coleman averaged 11 yards a reception during his Falcons career, and they don’t have an obvious replacement. We’ve seen teams struggle to fill the void when they lose their pass catching running back. If this game was in Week 12, it might not matter as the Falcons could find a solution. But this game is in Week 2, and if they haven’t figured out who could fill that role, that could be a difference making factor. What are they bad at? In each of their previous six drafts, the Falcons have used two top 100 draft picks on defenders, including four 1st round picks. Both their head coaches during Thomas Dimitroff’s tenure as GM have been defensive coaches. They’ve invested in coaches and in draft picks on defense and what do they have to show for it? A bad defense. The Falcons haven’t finished with a top 20 defense by DVOA since 2012, and the raw scoring and yards totals haven’t been much better. There’s little reason to believe they will suddenly turn the corner this season, they didn’t add a premium prospect in the draft or a top free agent. Why the Eagles will winIn addition to the Falcons being a one sided team, Doug Pederson is 3-0 against Dan Quinn. Pederson gave Quinn his worst regular season loss in 2016, beat him in the playoffs in 2017, and then again in Week 1 of the 2018 season. The Eagles are a better overall team and have a coaching advantage. That’s a good combination to have. Why the Eagles will lose In 2016 Jim Schwartz shut down Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. In 2017 and 2018 Jim Schwartz shut down Falcons offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, which was a comparatively easy task. But Sarkisian got run out by now-Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter when the Buccanneers beat the Eagles in Week 2. Ryan Fitzpatrick went off for 402 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Falcons will be feeling good about this coaching matchup. However, Ryan Fitzpatrick does this from time to time. That game was the third of his career with 400+ yards and 4 TDs. It was the 7th of his career with 350+ yards and 3+ touchdowns. But Fitzpatrick also has as many starts with fewer than 100 yards passing. There’s a reason he’s a journeyman: he has no consistency. Maybe that game was the fools gold. Or maybe Koetter is a bad matchup for Schwartz, and this time he’s got a better QB.

JACKSONVILLE Womens Leonard Fournette Jersey , Fla. (AP) — by drafting another pass-rusher.The Jaguars selected Kentucky defensive end Josh Allen with the seventh pick in the NFL draft Thursday night, landing the Southeastern Conference’s defensive player of the year despite more pressing needs on the other side of the ball.“Too good a player to possibly pass up,” said Tom Coughlin, the team’s executive vice president of football operations. “Can’t have enough of them.”The 6-foot-5, 262-pound Allen didn’t miss a game in four seasons at Kentucky, finishing his college career with 41 tackles for loss, 31 ½ sacks, 15 quarterback hurries and 11 forced fumbles.Picking in the top 10 for the 11th time in 12 years, the Jaguars could have gone in several directions. Offensive tackle and tight end are considered bigger needs, but they went defense.Coughlin and general manager Dave Caldwell said Allen was a notch higher on their draft board than tight end T.J. Hockenson Barry Church Jersey , defensive tackle Ed Oliver and any offensive lineman available. In fact, Jacksonville performed dozens of mock drafts in the days before the start of the three-day event and only came up with a couple in which Allen was available at No. 7.“It’s a big man’s game, and he’s a big man that has speed, that can come around the edge, that has power that can hold the point,” coach Doug Marrone said. “When you look the film, it stands out. It’s like, ‘Who’s that guy?'”Caldwell said Allen will likely fill the role vacated by pass-rusher Dante Fowler, who was traded to the Los Angeles Rams last season. That means Allen would back up starting defensive end Yannick Ngakoue and play opposite Ngakoue on passing downs.“In our division, when you play Andrew Luck and Deshaun Watson and Marcus Mariota and in the conference where you have some great quarterbacks http://www.thejaguarslockerroom.com/authentic-ereck-flowers-jersey , you have to be able to get after them,” Caldwell said. “Between Yannick and him and Calais (Campbell) and Marcell (Dareus), it’s going to be a fun season.”The Jaguars also have last year’s first-round pick, defensive tackle Taven Bryan.Star cornerback Jalen Ramsey tweeted out a text exchange shortly after the pick showing messages between he and Allen two weeks ago in which Ramsey told Allen he was the best player in the draft.Allen said he welcomed joining Ramsey and the rest of the defense, which has been among the best in the league the last two seasons.“They get after the quarterback,” Allen said. “That’s all I needed to hear.”Then move was hardly unique for Coughlin, who developed a reputation with the New York Giants of drafting along the defensive front even though the team had more pressing needs elsewhere. He picked Justin Tuck (third round, 2005) and Mathias Kiwanuka (first round, 2006) in consecutive years despite already having Michael Strahan and Osi Umenyiora.Allen visited Jacksonville earlier this month and joked with Coughlin that the Jags might have to trade up to get him.Coughlin laughed at the time and was holding his breath as Allen slid a few spots Thursday.“That’s the way the draft goes,” Coughlin said. “He’s outstanding athletically. He drops in coverage. He rushes the passer. He’s a good ball-stripper. He gives good effort. You see him work sideline to sideline. … Outstanding young man and a guy who will definitely help our defensive football team.” JACKSONVILLE Womens Brad Nortman Jersey , Fla. (AP) — Free agent running back Benny Cunningham and offensive tackle Josh Wells have signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars for added depth. The 5-foot-10 Cunningham is entering his seventh NFL season and likely will help mostly on special teams.Cunningham spent the first four years of his career with the Rams and the past two with Chicago. He has appeared in 86 games, totaling 797 yards rushing and 114 receptions for 1,001 yards. He also has returned 110 kickoffs for 2,895 yards.Cunningham is the second veteran running back to sign with Jacksonville in as many days. Former Houston backup Alfred Blue signed Monday and likely will serve as Leonard Fournette’s backup in 2019.The 6-foot-6, 306-pound Wells re-signed with Jacksonville. He has appeared in 39 games with eight starts since signing with the Jaguars an undrafted rookie in 2014.Wells missed the entire 2015 season and most of 2016 because of a thumb injury. He played in a career-best 15 games in 2017, but missed more than half of last season with a groin injury and then a concussion.Wells is the second backup offensive lineman to re-sign with the Jaguars in recent days. Guard/center Tyler Shatley signed last Friday.

bunch of games since their previous matchup with Chicago Womens Nick Kwiatkoski Jersey , a steady march to become NFC North champions that has put plenty of distance between the playoffs they’re about to enter and that ugly first half they played against the Bears. That’s precisely where their path to the postseason began to straighten out. When Case Keenum replaced the ailing Sam Bradford again at quarterback, the Vikings steered themselves back on course that night of Oct. 9 for a 20-17 victory that was the first of eight straight. For as much as coaches and players speak about the clichd one-game-at-a-time focus, momentum can be an undeniable force. ”It was big,” said wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who hobbled through that game with a groin injury. ”I wouldn’t say really like a turning point, but definitely some momentum moving into the rest of the season that no matter how we’ve got to do it, we can get a `W’ and finish.” The Vikings had fallen to 2-2 at the quarter point of the season, stinging from a 14-7 defeat at home by Detroit made possible by three lost fumbles and made worse by the season-ending ACL tear to running back Dalvin Cook’s knee suffered that afternoon. After missing the three previous games with knee trouble, Bradford was cleared to return against the Bears. He clearly wasn’t right. Bradford was sacked four times, and the Vikings totaled 34 yards on six possessions while he was in the game. Keenum took over again late in the second quarter and, 10 wins later, has the Vikings on a Super Bowl track that could’ve been wrecked by the absence of two of the team’s most vital players. ”It was that stretch that we talk about,” wide receiver Adam Thielen said. ”Every game seemed like a bigger game.” This rematch with the Bears (5-10) on Sunday has proven to be just as important for the Vikings (12-3). With a win in this final regular-season game, they’ll secure the No. 2 seed for the NFC playoffs that comes with a first-round bye. That’s basically a bonus victory, and the Vikings have been treating this scenario accordingly. ”The biggest thing is the confidence that this team is playing with,” tight end Kyle Rudolph said. ”We feel like if we take care of our business and we play the style of football that we’re accustomed to, it doesn’t matter who we play, when we play, where we play. It’s just how we play.” The Vikings can also get the coveted bye with an assist from any of three other teams: New Orleans beating Tampa Bay on the road Prince Amukamara Jersey , Atlanta beating Carolina at home or Los Angeles beating San Francisco at home. Just one of those would need to happen. That’s quite the safety net the Vikings have no desire to use. ”We don’t want to get any help from anyone. We want to go out and take care of our business, play well, continue to ride this momentum into the playoffs,” Rudolph said. ”The last thing you want to do is limp into the playoffs coming off of a loss. We want to go out and play well and end this season the right way.” Here are some other key angles to follow during the game on Sunday: FOX WATCH: With a 14-33 record in three years, this could be John Fox’s final game coaching the Bears. If so, it’ll be the end of one of the least successful tenures in the franchise history. Only Abe Gibron has a lower winning percentage as a Bears head coach, going 11-30-1 (.274) from 1972-74. Fox helped orchestrate quick turnarounds with Carolina and Denver, joining Don Shula, Bill Parcells, Dan Reeves, Dick Vermeil and Mike Holmgren as the only coaches to lead two franchises to Super Bowl appearances, but he hasn’t experienced similar success in Chicago. ”I’ve never had trouble getting employment in this league,” Fox said this week, ”and I’m not going to start worrying about it now.” YOU AGAIN?: This is the fifth time in 13 years that the Bears will wrap up the regular season in Minnesota, including three of the past four, but this is the first of these finales that features any kind of postseason impact. Both teams were eliminated in 2016, 2014 and 2011. The Bears already had the division title clinched in 2005. ”It’s still a game. Everybody has to play it. And you have to approach it that way,” Fox said. ”It will be no different for us.” LONG WAY: Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has come a long way since he debuted against the Vikings in that matchup in Chicago nearly three months ago, and the second overall pick in the draft would love to show it. Trubisky completed 12 of 25 passes for 128 yards on Oct. 9 http://www.thebearslockerroom.com/authentic-adam-shaheen-jersey , and his interception in the closing minutes set up the winning field goal by the Vikings. Though his passer rating is a paltry 78.5, Trubisky already holds the franchise rookie passing record with 2,015 yards. With the Bears expanding the playbook for him, Trubisky has gone from completing 53 percent of his passes through his first seven games to 71 percent over the past four games while throwing for 880 yards. ”Hopefully the game will slow down for me a little bit, and I’ll be able to see things a little better,” Trubisky said. STANDING PAT? If the Bears fire Fox, Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur could find himself a candidate for the vacancy. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said this week he believes Shurmur deserves another opportunity, five years after his tenure with Cleveland ended at two seasons. ”He’s done a really good job. He’s a good guy to work with. He’s smart. He’s respectful,” Zimmer said. Shurmur has bigger priorities for now. ”At some point, if somebody wants to sit down and visit about being the head coach, I can talk about a job that I’ve already done and about how I’m better since I did that job,” he said. — The Arizona Cardinals have scored just six points while losing their first two games of the season and face a defense on Sunday that could prove more of a challenge. The Chicago Bears (1-1), led by outside linebacker Khalil Mack, head to the desert to face the Cardinals (0-2).Cardinals quarterback Sam Bradford and the offense will be tasked with figuring out a way to muster some yards. They plan to simplify things in an attempt to move the ball more effectively.“Just really feel like we own the plays that are in the game plan that week as opposed to having so many calls on the sheet that maybe we know them,” Bradford said, “but we’re not owning them the way that we should.“The thought is just to allow everyone to go out there and play faster, simplify everything a little bit, and hopefully, it shows up in the speed in which we play.”For whatever reason Womens Mitchell Trubisky Jersey , most of Bradford’s completions have resulted in fewer than 10 yards in the opening two weeks. His lack of patience in the the pocket is reflected in three wide receivers — Chad Williams, J.J. Nelson and Trent Sherfield — having no catches so far.“I’ve been saying it from day one, we’ve got to create more separation down the field,” Cardinals coach Steve Wilks said. “Sam does a great job of throwing guys open as I’ve mentioned before, but we’ve got to create separation, coming back for the ball, and we’ve got to create separation down the field.“We need to take some shots, loosen the defense up a little bit, those kind of things. We’re working on that. I think those guys have done a great job at the line of scrimmage trying to fight and get off the press (coverage).“Again, it’s not just one thing. We’re all in this together and we’ve got to find ways to make sure we get this offense going in the right direction.”In the opening two games, the Cardinals have been outscored 58-6.Bradford was sacked just three times in those two games, but the Arizona offensive line now faces a Bears defense that accumulated 10 sacks and five forced fumbles in two games.Mack obviously will be a person of concern for the Cardinals’ offensive line.“We’ve just got to get on him,” Cardinals right tackle John Wetzel said. “You’ve got to have some good sets for him because he can turn and go power inside moves on you and he can rush you from the outside, so you’ve got to get your hands on him, be inside-out, and just react.”A loss would leave the Cardinals at 0-3 for the first time since the 2005 season. But as the offense struggles, Wilks isn’t ready to replace Bradford with rookie first-round draft pick Josh Rosen.“Sam, right now, is the quarterback Pat O'Donnell Jersey ,” Wilks said, diplomatically. “As I’ve said before, I don’t think it’s just the quarterback position. I think we have some issues across the board in all three phases and we’re working on those issues.”The Bears’ defense could become even tougher once rookie linebacker Roquan Smith gets acclimated after missing 29 days of training camp in a contract holdout. He played nearly 90 percent of the snaps last week against the Seattle Seahawks.“He had a couple missed tackles we didn’t like,” Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said. “And it goes back to another thing. He missed basically all of training camp. … But I really liked the way he played. He had some really nice plays. Good tackler. Obviously he can run, and we’re thrilled to have him.”The Bears would be excited to see their offense get going against the Cardinals. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has connected on 69.6 percent of his throws but is averaging only 5.4 yards per completion.Wide receiver Allen Robinson has emerged as one of Trubisky’s favorite targets. In the win over the Seahawks, Robinson finished with 10 receptions for 83 yards.“We had a couple of route-depth things we’ll clean up,” Bears offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich said. “They were simple things that he watches on film and goes, ‘Oh, yeah.’ Knucklehead-type stuff.“I think he’s confident now. You never know with that kind of an injury how a guy is mentally approaching things, and that’s a huge, huge hurdle to get over, (to say), ‘Hey, I’m good.’ And that’s big.”Helfrich expects the Cardinals to try to confuse Trubisky with different defensive looks.“They bring it,” Helfrich said. “It’s impressive how well they cover out of it. You know they’re bringing it and the fans know they’re bringing it, and they get it done. So, again, it’s an all-hands-on-deck type of deal. You have to protect. You have to play in rhythm. You have to throw in time. The routes have to be crisp and urgent. And play cleanly.”

10 years wore off quickly as Jon Gruden went back to work Monday.Gruden knows there's plenty of work needed to get the Oakland Raiders to the level he hopes they can reach as even their first victory of the season came with some flaws. The defense allowed seven plays of at least 20 yards Philip Rivers Jersey , Derek Carr threw two more interceptions and the Raiders needed a thrilling comeback before prevailing 45-42 over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.Next up for the Raiders (1-3) is a road game against the Los Angeles Chargers that already has Gruden concerned."You start seeing the Chargers, you see Philip Rivers. It's hard to rejoice in your victories for very long," he said. "We have a real challenge. (Melvin) Ingram is unbelievable. Derwin James is a good player. (Joey) Bosa they tell me is coming back, so we have work to do."It's just a lot more enjoyable to do it after a win for a change. There were plenty of positive developments that the Raiders hope to build on for the future, starting with a defense that had four takeaways, including one returned for a touchdown; two good punt returns from Dwayne Harris that set up scores; and a clutch performance down the stretch from Carr, who bounced back from two early interceptions to throw for 437 yards, four TDs and the game-tying 2-point conversion."He's a tough guy. There's not a lot you don't like about him," Gruden said. "He stood in there Womens Kellen Winslow Jersey , made a throw to Jared Cook yesterday. Deep pattern down the left sideline. He got punished on a cross-dog blitz. Throw the interception on a deep ball to Martavis (Bryant) and came back and played his best football. He showed mental, physical toughness. Those are two things you have to have to be a great quarterback. He showcased it yesterday."Carr had plenty of help on offense despite several drops from his receivers, including what should have been a long TD to Bryant in the first half.Amari Cooper had eight catches for 128 yards and one touchdown, Jared Cook had eight catches for 110 yards and two TDs, Jordy Nelson caught the game-tying 2-point conversion, and Jalen Richard had an 18-yard catch and run on the game-tying drive. But the best performance of all might have come from running back Marshawn Lynch, who rushed for 130 yards in his most productive game since 2014. He forced 11 missed tackles against the Browns, according to Pro Football Focus, and might have had an even bigger day if not for a quick whistle that negated a long run when the officials wrongly ruled Lynch had been tackled."If that's not a Hall of Fame back http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-lance-alworth-jersey , I don't know what is," Gruden said. "Honestly. What he did yesterday, what he's done since he's been here is incredible. He wants the ball more and more and more. ... This guy does not want to come off the field. He picked up six or seven blitzes yesterday, too, that no one is talking about. But some of the runs, good night! Why would you have a quick whistle with Marshawn Lynch? I don't understand how you can blow a whistle like they did yesterday, but some of the runs he's making, some of the finishes and determination he is putting on tape is unbelievable. I don't see many guys in football running like this."NOTES: CB Daryl Worley returned to the team after serving a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse and personal-conduct policies. He can resume practice on Wednesday but the team has until later in the week to put him on the active roster. ... LG Kelechi Osemele and RT Donald Penn both left the game with injuries and Gruden didn't have any additional information on their availability this week. He was objectively one of the best defensive backs in the National Football League. Throughout the offseason, expectations for his 2018-19 campaign were high, to the point where some worried that the defense might take a step back if Jason Verrett were able to start on the outside in his place. Those sky-high expectations have, to put things mildly, not been met. Williams’ season has been one long continuous disappointment. He went from being an at-times lockdown corner to a liability. He ceded playing time to the inconsistent Michael Davis. He struggled with nagging injuries. And now Womens Austin Ekeler Jersey , finally, his season has come to an end as he will be placed on Injured Reserve. This is not great for the Chargers’ depth at the cornerback position, but this is no great loss. It’s sad to say that, but it’s the reality of the situation. Hopefully, Williams will get healthy over the offseason and can regain the form we all saw him have in 2017-18 next year.
